Advantages and disadvantages of carbon steel
advantage:
1.Low price
2. Easy to smelt;
3. Good processing technology;
4. Improve performance (C%, heat treatment).
Disadvantages:
1. Poor hardenability;
2. Low strength level and low yield ratio;
3 Poor tempering stability and poor heat resistance;
4 Low temperature resistance, carbon steel becomes brittle below the ductile-brittle transition temperature;
5, not resistant to corrosion, carbon steel cannot resist atmospheric, acid and alkali corrosion;
6. Low magnetic permeability, low permeability of carbon steel;
7. Non-magnetic, carbon steel will inevitably be magnetized in a magnetic field.
Advantages and disadvantages of 304 stainless steel
advantage:
1. Corrosion-resistant or relatively high-temperature resistant, general acid-resistant medium, and high-temperature stainless steel with heat resistance and high temperature oxidation resistance (heat resistant but not skin)
Disadvantages:
1. High cost and expensive;
2. Stainless steel is not resistant to alkaline media.
Advantages and disadvantages of 316 stainless steel
advantage:
1. Strong corrosion resistance, corrosion resistance is better than 304 stainless steel.
2. Resistant to marine and aggressive industrial atmospheres
3. Strong heat resistance
Disadvantages:
1. High cost
